What to expect

Shivaga Komarpaj

Sa Wad Dee Ka

The roots of Thai massage are traced back to the founder of the practice (known as "The Father Doctor") Shivaga Komarpaj, a doctor, friend and contemporary of the Buddha and his personal physician; he was also physician to the King of India.

Thai Massage is completely different to Swedish massage; it is much more physical and involves a series of assisted stretches similar to those used in yoga. Initially, you may feel some very slight discomfort, but as the massage progresses and your trust in the giver grows, you will quickly, completely relax and enjoy the benefits. The massage is performed at a level suited to you & your years with you fully clothed & lying on a comfortable mat on the floor.
