Somjit (Joy) studied her massage training with her parents since she was young.  It was Thai’s traditional cultural way that the daughter of the family may look after the parent very well and Thai massage was one of the ways to pamper her family.

When she finished college, she went to work with a financial company for a while and did not continue her career off Thai massage.

In the year 2002, she went back to study Thai massage so to pursue her dream again, obviously this was a big change for her career. She studied very hard on the massage courses, and she aimed to attain a level to allow her to teach her therapy.  It was with passion and a lot of inspiration she gives her knowledge to students and it was fascinating to see how Thai massage can help people.

In the year 2003, she obtained 2 Advanced Thai Medical Massage Therapy and Foot Massage certifications from the famous massage school in Thailand. The school is one of the oldest and well known massage school in Bangkok called “The Wat Pho Traditional Medicine School”.  She also studied at “The School of Thai Massage Shivagakomapaj, an old medicine hospital, in Chiang Mai, where she became a massage teacher as well.

Joy moved to Edinburgh in 2004 and has provided her traditional Thai massage to people here.  Many customers come back to enjoy her massage again and again and so she has many regular customers.
